In Sustainability

Sustainability at Staffordshire University matters not only to our current students and staffs, but future students and our community. As a civic anchor institution, our university has a responsibility not only as a guardian of our own environment, but the wider physical environment.

We are committed to building a more sustainable University and reduce our environmental impact, and have set two strategic goals to reflect this:

  • Achieve the carbon neutrality of our buildings in operation by 2030, alongside significant reductions in carbon emissions associated with all activities, in a bid to becoming a net zero University.
  • Achieve major change in environmental sustainability through research, innovation and enterprise and student and civic engagement.
